FAQ for Stag Leap Cabins

Do I have to pay for my stay up front?
NO! However, we do require a $50 DEPOSIT at the time of booking. This fee will be applied to your overall stay or will be retained as a cancellation fee if you cancel your booking after 24 hours of creating your booking (see our Cancellation Policy below). Based on your selected method of payment, the remaining amount of your bill will either be charged to your card the day before your arrival or will be due in the form of cash or check upon check-in.
What is your cancellation policy?
- After 24 hours of booking, up to 14 days before your arrival – $50
- Within fourteen (14) to eight (8) days before your arrival date – 50% of your stay
- Within seven (7) days before your arrival – 100% of your stay
We recommend canceling your reservation no less than fifteen (15) days before your arrival date to avoid these charges.
We will refund your card (minus the 3% Credit Card Convenience Fee) if we rebook your cabin within the time of your stay.
Our cancellation and payment policy differs for holidays, high-demand occasions, and multi-cabin reservations. A full set of our Fees & Policies will be made available during the reservation process before you finalize your booking.

Want peace of mind when you make your reservation? For a small fee, you can now purchase trip protection to cover last-minute cancellations.
Are there any additional fees associated with my booking?
NO! If you book through us directly, there are no hidden fees associated with your booking. Our base rate covers 2-4 people (based on the cabin). An additional guest fee of $15/guest/night applies for guests one year old or older. We charge 6% tax on your total invoice, and all other fees are based on add-ons you may choose.
What time is check-in and check-out?
CHECK-IN – You may arrive anytime after 3:00 PM unless you have added the Early Check-in option (an additional $20 fee). If you have selected this option, please do not arrive before 1:00 PM.
CHECK-OUT is any time before 11:00 AM. Please honor this time. We often have same-day turnarounds in our cabins and need access no later than this time to clean for the next guest (especially if early arrival has been selected).
What is provided in the kitchen for cooking?
All cabins are equipped with a refrigerator/freezer, microwave, toaster, efficiency stove/oven, essential cookware and dinnerware, a drip coffee maker, coffee, coffee filters, paper towels, hot pads, dish towels, dish soap, and trash bags. If you plan to cook, we recommend you bring all your ingredients. Sometimes, previous guests leave behind items such as cooking oil, salt, pepper, sugar, sweetener, creamer, and other spices; however, we cannot guarantee that these items will be present.
Are linens and bathroom essentials provided?
YES! We provide sheets, towels, washcloths, soap, shampoo, conditioner, and toilet paper.
Do you provide WIFI and streaming TV?
YES! But keep in mind that your cabin is in the forest. We do not have access to fiber optics at the cabins, so please keep this in mind regarding cell service and WiFi speeds. Rain may also impact the connection, but many of our guests have worked from our cabins without issues. You will find the WiFi password in the Welcome notebook located in your cabin.
Your cabin has a smart TV, and you are welcome to sign in to your favorite streaming accounts; remember to log back out before you leave! If you don’t subscribe to any streaming apps, numerous stations are available for your entertainment.
Is there a hot tub at my cabin?
None of our cabins have private hot tubs; however, several cabins have jetted jacuzzi tubs. There is a large hot tub on the property that all guests can use on a first-come, first-served basis.
BUT…You may reserve the hot tub for private use!
We have a marker board at the hot tub that you can write your name and the date and time you would like to reserve the hot tub for private use. You may reserve the hot tub once per day and use it for one hour at a time to allow all guests to use it.
Is breakfast served on the property?
Not at this time. But we have a couple of add-ons available for breakfast-type items to be left in your cabin. Also, your cabin’s kitchen is fully stocked with cookware and dinnerware for preparing breakfast if you would like. Just bring your groceries!
Are events/group gatherings allowed at my cabin?
YES! Based on your cabin and the size of your gathering, we may charge an additional fee for outside guests to join you for a short visit. If you are looking to host a larger gathering, we allow events for 50 or fewer people at the Antlers Log Cabin. For more information about having an event on our property, please complete our Event Inquiry form. After receiving your completed form, Sabrina will contact you to discuss pricing and other details. Sorry, we don’t post prices because we customize each package based on event needs.
Are pets allowed in your cabins?
Currently, three cabins are designated as pet-friendly – Meadows, Creek Cabin, and Bucks Head. There is an additional fee for having a pet, and no pets are allowed in shared spaces (the hot tub and laundry room areas) or in cabins that don’t allow pets.
Do you allow smoking/vaping in the cabins?
NO! You are free to smoke OUTSIDE your cabin, but we have a NO SMOKING policy in ALL cabins. This is strictly enforced, and you may be charged an additional fee if your cabin smells like you have smoked or vaped inside. If you smoke outside, you need to stand away from any open doors or windows.
Do you offer military discounts?
YES! We offer a 10% discount for veterans and active military. We greatly appreciate your service! Just let us know what branch and the years you served in the “Special Accommodations” section when you make your reservation, and we will apply the discount.
